Overview

A ton of talk about "WriteFreely" (on the landing and about pages, footer, etc.) will confuse some users, so it should be possible to tone this down by changing a configuration value.

Implementation

Add a new config value to the [app] section: something like modest_wf (i.e. false should reflect the current state of things).

If enabled, the large WriteFreely sections shouldn't show up, and the footer on non-auth'd pages should be compressed into links only related to the current instance -- maybe with a "powered by writefreely" somewhere.
